After dinner

I spent the day on the phone with various doctor's offices and the Rehab Services for the Blind. I don't know what is going on with my doctor or various groups who are bureaucratically interested in me at the moment. Faxes are flying, forms are in bloom, the winds of change are a-blowin' and I'm confused. I have an appointment 5 July with a neuro-ophthalmologist (at last) and a qualifying appointment with another ophthalmologist (assigned by RSB) to see if I can receive their services.

Things have been hectic all day. I was on the phone for hours trying to get a message to Joe in Seattle whose phone is not working at the moment because he has just moved. A BlueCross/BlueShield wanted to talk to him about an interview. They are flying him in next weekend for techie stuff. I hope it goes well. I've encouraged him to bone up on all the buzz-words and otherwise just relax about it. He is nervous.

Off and running. I've written nothing today. I will try for a while this evening before I turn in for the night. That will be early regardless of my writing success. Tomorrow will be busy with the family reunion. I'm not particularly looking forward to that. Don't expect to see much of me online tomorrow and don't expect any quick responses to e-mail.

I have been cat-waxing all day. I really need to write some more on my NaNoWriMo novel. It is a take off on Laurell K. Hamilton's Anita Blake…
