Looking toward tomorrow

I received a polite note from Doc Aruba today. He has arranged to have me attend a presentation on managing diabetes. He praises it highly. I hope it is good. I attended one such in late '99 and found it interesting but not ultimately useful.

I am continuing to lose weight. I am down 6 pounds since the 16th of May. Of course, that involves a loss of about eleven pounds and a gain of 5 but c'est la lard.

Tomorrow promises to be a busy day. I must see Dr. DuDu about my back (I slept crookedly or some such last night and it hurts like Hell) then take my mother to see Dr. Jujube. After that I must run around and find the cheapest place to have my eyeglasses prescription filled — namely one that takes my insurance.

I had a dream last night that I will relate in Baddreams. Baddreams seems to have been accepted. I am still the most frequent poster, but my dreaming is what prompted me to start it.

There has been a lot of good poetry posted lately. Must be the season for it. I have been composing for several days. Most are just fragments that will never be finished (though they'll doubtless make it to my poetry page eventually), but there are two I'm confident of finishing. I have also been motivated to revive an old attempt at a saga called Eric Brighteyes after the classic pulp-era work. I hope I can finish it this time.

I spoke to lutron today. That would be the person, not the corporation. He was on his way to D & D. I haven't done that in more…

I have been cat-waxing all day. I really need to write some more on my NaNoWriMo novel. It is a take off on Laurell K. Hamilton's Anita Blake…
