At last! The word for which I have been searching all these years!
nanowrimo 2010

the worthless word for the day is: acyrology

[ad L. acyrologia, a Gk akyrolgia]

obs. rare /ah sir OL uh jee (?)/

incorrect speech or use of language

"His work..was meant to be..a condensation of all the 'logics' and all the 'ology's'; but, unfortunately, tautology and acyrology were the only ones thoroughly exemplified." - Baroness Rosina Bulwer-Lytton; Cheveley; or the man of honour (1839)

could Lady L. have been referring to Lord Lytton? surprise, surprise:

"Her first novel was the roman à clef, Cheveley; or, The Man of Honour (1839) whose subtitle was an ironic reference to Bulwer to whom it was dedicated as "No one, nobody, Esq, no hall, nowhere". This thinly disguised attack on him and his circle, turned out to be a best-seller." - www.LitEncyc.com

I really enjoy this word. I have been looking for something like it for a very long time. It accurately describes the verbal abuse I have experienced since a child.

Incorrect speech or use of language.

It's a "thing" here in Missouri.
