Spring Sprung

Today is rainy and my vision is clouded externally as well as its natural impediment. Still, I’ve seen a couple of things today. Trees with white buds and red ones are blooming and the grass has begun to green.

My Uncle Sam, actually my great uncle, always called the white trees “Sarfus”. I think they are really Service Berry trees. The red trees are called Redbud. I know little about such things. The flora and fauna of Missouri has always been of little interest to me. What interest I have shown is centered on spring and fall. This area looks much like my memories of Germany, perhaps even more of Austria. I think this area is much like that around Graz. I get nostalgic at these times. Useless.
